Background:
Heidi is a young professional who developed her career skills through non-profit work and education over the past twelve years. She cultivated her love of helping people through the organization AmeriCorps, where she was able to help her community through a wide range of programs, that spanned from natural disaster recovery work to mountain trail maintenance to tutoring lower income students. This program led her to Orlando, Florida, where she spent six years teaching English in a title one high school. There, she learned how important empathy and a listening ear were for people, and how to work through difficult situations.
Family and the stability of the Midwest called her home in the summer of 2023. She acclimated by going back to her non-profit roots for different organizations throughout the city and gained a new perspective on Cleveland. While she loved her experience in the world of education and non-profit, she knew it was time for a change. She began studying for the Securities Industry Essentials exam, working for her father’s small business, and broadening her horizons by applying for different financial positions. Through hard work, and a bit of luck, she connected with Keven Prather and became a part of the Lumen team in February 2025.
As she strives to become a financial advisor, her current role is to learn the business from the ground up. She attends to new business, manages client services, and assists the advisors within the firm. Currently, she is studying for her Series 7 exam, which would enable her to provide investment recommendations to clientele.
Heidi is currently a resident of Painesville and enjoys spending time with family, partaking in taekwondo, and loving her two fluffy cats.

She graduated of Ohio University with a dual bachelor’s degree in English and History.
